  • Giant ginkgo tree at Bodaiji Temple Okayama Prefecture, Japan.
    Nagi Town, Okayama Prefecture.
In this place rich in nature, where most of the town area is covered with forests, the ginkgo tree, which is said to be the best in Okayama Prefecture, is alive.
The place is the precincts of Bodaiji Temple, which is located on the slopes of Mt. Nagi, at an altitude of about 600 meters.
It is said to be about 40m high, about 13m around the trunk, and estimated to be 900 years old.
In addition, this ginkgo tree is designated as a national natural monument and has been selected as one of the 100 best trees in Japan.
Thanks to the yellow leaves in autumn, the sight of the branches rising like a raging fire from a height of about 3 meters above the ground is truly a masterpiece!
    Thanks for watching!
